Interactivity is key

Research supports using interactive reading techniques to encourage early literacy behaviors in young children (ECRR2, 2011).  Interactive reading helps to develop children's language skills, vocabulary, and comprehension.  By their nature, wordless picture books lend themselves to open ended questions, and dialogue.
